In 1942, Frank was drafted into the Army and served in World War II. He saw combat in the Pacific theater and was awarded the Bronze Star for his bravery. In 1954, Frank moved to Montgomery, Alabama, and started his own business. He started out with a small loan of $500 and a dream. Over the next few years, Frank's business grew and prospered. He became a successful businessman and philanthropist.
